Assay Results For Hole: A-07-50 20.98 Meters Grading 16.67% Zinc, 3.41% Lead, 25.44 G/T Silver From 100% Owned Akie Property, B.C.

January 21, 2008

Vancouver, B.C. –January 21, 2008 – Mantle Resources Inc. (TSX Venture: MTS; Frankfurt: AOF7E1) (the “Company”) is pleased to report the following assay results for hole A-07-50, the sixth hole from the 2007 drill program on the zinc-lead bearing Cardiac Creek Zone (CCZ) mineralization at its 100% owned Akie property, in northeastern British Columbia, approximately 260 kilometers north-northwest of the town of Mackenzie.

High Grade in A-07-50 – delivers 20.08% Zn+Pb over 20.98 metres within a 29.4 metre intercept grading 15.78% Zn+Pb

Hole: A-07-50. (Az: 025o; Dip: -78o; Grid: 3275S/0145W; Elev: 1484 meters; End of hole: 587.22 meters)

The true width of the mineralization is estimated to be approximately 76% of the core interval, but is subject to revision.

The intercept in hole A-07-50 is located between A-05-30 (23.83 metres grading 19.73% Zn+Pb) and A-05-32 (26.7 metres grading 14.69% Zn+Pb), which are 200 metres apart.  The thick intercept and high-grade mineralization encountered in hole A-07-50, as reported above, confirms an axis of higher grade that is consistent over an estimated strike length of 700 metres and is open both to the northwest and southeast.  At present, the CCZ continues to be open both updip and downdip.

Assays received to date from key holes from the 2007 drilling program are summarized below.

“We are very pleased by the high grades we continue to encounter in the CCZ deposit. As we are now able to project the higher grade axis for some distance along strike, we see significant potential in both the northwest and southeast direction,” commented Jim Mustard, President of Mantle.

“With the CCZ consistently delivering these elevated grades, Mantle considers the Akie property to hold significant potential for additional discoveries and sees the CCZ as a focus of intense work in the coming months.”

An additional 5 holes have been submitted to the laboratory from the 2007 program and results will be reported upon receipt.

Assay Samples and Procedures

All core selected for analysis is split by diamond saw and sampled, with a maximum of 1.5 meters of core in each sample. These are placed in plastic bags, shipped in secure containers to Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd., Vancouver, B.C., and there subjected to aqua regia digestion followed by ICP-ES and ICP-MS analysis (Acme Group 7AX Multi-Element Assay) to determine zinc, lead and silver content. Standards and blanks are inserted into the assay stream at a rate of about one of each for every 25 core samples. Check assays are regularly carried out by Global Discovery Labs, also in Vancouver, employing aqua regia digestion followed by atomic absorption finish (Group 4).

About the Akie Property

The Akie zinc-lead property is situated within the southern-most part (Kechika Trough) of the regionally extensive Paleozoic Selwyn Basin, one of the most prolific sedimentary basins in the world for the occurrence of SEDEX zinc-lead-silver and stratiform barite deposits.

Drilling on the Akie property by Inmet Mining Corporation during the period 1994 to 1996 and by Mantle in 2005, 2006 and 2007 has identified a significant body of baritic-zinc-lead SEDEX mineralization (Cardiac Creek Zone). The deposit is hosted by variably siliceous, fine grained clastic rocks of the Middle to Late Devonian ‘Gunsteel Formation.

Two similar deposits, Cirque and South Cirque, located some 20 kilometers northwest of Akie and owned under a joint venture by Teck Cominco and Korea Zinc, are also hosted by Gunsteel rocks and have a combined geologic inventory in excess of 50 million tonnes averaging approximately 10% combined zinc+lead.
