Canada Zinc Metals Announces The Passing Of John Fraser

Vancouver, B.C. – It is with great sadness and regret that Canada Zinc Metals Corp. (TSX Venture : CZX) (“Canada Zinc Metals” or the “Company”) announces that John Fraser, Vice President of Exploration, a valued Director of the Company and friend, passed away on Tuesday, July 13th with his family by his side. The Board of Directors, employees and consultants of Canada Zinc Metals offer their sincere condolences to John’s wife Monica and family.
During John's long and successful career in our local mining community he stood on the boards of several junior mining companies. He embodied the consummate explorationist and seamlessly wove his joy for exploration and science with a deep and unwavering social conscience. He was always the voice of encouragement, wisdom and hope. It is clear why he was a friend and mentor to so many.
John's passion, counsel and dedication to Canada Zinc Metals will be dearly missed.

Services for John will be held Saturday, July 17th @ Boal Chapel & Memorial Gardens, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, BC from 1:30pm to 4:30 pm. On Sept 9, 2010 a memorial open house will be held in John’s honour from 2-8 pm at Suite 620-650 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, B.C.
