THREE DRILL RIGS RETAINED FOR 2007 EXPLORATION PROGRAM

April 3, 2007

Vancouver, B.C. – April 3, 2007 – Mantle Resources Inc. (TSX Venture: MTS; Frankfurt: AOF7E1)(“Mantle” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that Rodren Drilling Ltd., of West St. Paul, Manitoba, has been retained to provide three identical, high capacity diamond drill rigs for the 2007 exploration program on the 100% owned Akie zinc-lead property located in northeastern British Columbia, approximately 280 kilometers north-northwest of the town of Mackenzie.

Each drill is helicopter portable and has a rated capacity of 1,000 meters using NQ (core: 47.6 mm in diameter) drill rods.  These rigs will be tasked to achieve three objectives: to carry out detailed in-fill drilling within and surrounding the area of high grade zinc-lead mineralization identified by Mantle in 2005 and 2006 ; step-out drilling to define the extent of the Akie mineralized zone; and to test high priority targets on the Akie property and elsewhere within the extensive, +180 km long regional land package controlled by Mantle.  Directional drilling techniques will be employed where necessary.  At present, drilling is expected to commence in late May or early June.

The Company has also entered into an agreement with Pacific Western Helicopters Ltd., of Prince George , British Columbia , to provide a dedicated Aerospatiale Astar 350/B2 helicopter for logistical support during the drill program. The Company looks forward to providing further details of the 2007 exploration program in the coming weeks.

The Akie zinc-lead property is situated within the southern-most part (Kechika Trough) of the regionally extensive Paleozoic Selwyn Basin, one of the most prolific sedimentary basins in the world for the occurrence of SEDEX zinc-lead-silver and stratiform barite deposits.

Drilling on the Akie property by Inmet Mining Corporation during the period 1994 to 1996 and Mantle in 2005 and 2006 has identified a significant body of baritic SEDEX mineralization containing average zinc+lead contents in excess of 10%.  The deposit is hosted by variably siliceous, fine-grained clastic rocks of the Middle to Late Devonian ‘Gunsteel formation’.  Three similar deposits, Cirque, South Cirque and Driftpile, with a combined geologic inventory of in excess of 69 million tonnes averaging in excess of 10% zinc+lead, occur in ‘Gunsteel’ rocks over a distance of approximately 100 km, to the northwest, from the Akie deposit.
